Parish Course - St. Anne's Resource Centre
Deepening our shared sense of vocation and mission
The first encounter will take place on September 27th in the Resource Centre from 8.00 -9.30 pm and subsequent encounters on the last Monday of each month. The aim of the process is to try to develop a lived experience of a new way of being Church in which all come to know themselves more and more deeply to be called by Christ as equals to collaborate in actively building up the Kingdom of God and where we try to learn to respond together as equals to the challenges that this involves in our personal lives and as a community of faith and love. The hope is to try to build together a deeper and much more concrete sense of being a family of mutual love, respect and encouragement rooted in a lived experience of the life of God, in which each person is helped to discover, welcome and respond to the fullness of their own vocation and gifts while at the same time seeking to discover and rejoice in the complementary vocations and gifts of others. The challenge then is to learn to discern together how these complementary vocations and talents can best be harnessed. We urge all those in St. Anne’s Parish Shankill to participate in this new iniative as we believe together we can make a difference in the parish and in the wider church. To help us organise this course, we will hold registration on Monday 20th September at 8.00 pm in the Resource Centre. Please note there is no course fee. Further information can be had from Fr. Rory on 0872146790 or Pat Maguire 0877532780.
